Properly tanned sheepskin doesn't stink when it gets wet, nor will any properly cured leather (fur on or not). But yes, there will be a faint leather bouquet to it...(Ever ridden a saddled horse in the rain?)

PS: WD's right - sometimes I won't let him in the house, I make him undress on the porch and use a broom handle to drop his clothes directly into a washing machine full of HOT water....
(and if you believe that, well, call me and I'll tell you about this GREAT business idea I have!!!)
